Suggestions of approaches for the teacher
(Suggestion 1) If the school has musical instruments, take the students to discover them. Let the students play the instrument, get to know the sound of each one, its format, its differences and similarities. If the school does not have instruments, schedule a visit to the Conservatory of Music in your city or to music events that may take place during the year.
(Suggestion 2) You can also set up a band with the students, inviting the art teacher or a musicalization teacher in your city to teach the first classes.
(Suggestion 3) Take a speaker to the classroom with several songs of different styles, ask students to identify the instruments present in the songs. Choose music with a clear presence of instruments such as classical music, rock, viola music...
(Suggestion 4) Ask the students to make a musical instrument at home with the help of their parents, using everyday materials such as sticks, boxes, bowls, etc.
(Suggestion 5) Ask students to build a mural with pictures of their favorite artists.
(Suggestion 6) Have the students sit in a circle and present music of different styles. For each style of music, ask them to draw a picture about the feeling that was awakened at that moment. Repeat the process with all musical styles. Then ask them to share their drawings and feelings with their partner.
(Suggestion 7) Promote dance competitions in partnership with an arts and physical education teacher.
More about the content
Musicalization for children favors the development of sensitivity, creativity, rhythmic sense, the pleasure of listening to music, imagination, memory, concentration, attention, respect for others, also contributing to an effective body awareness and movement. After working in the classroom with the game of assembling instruments, students will be more interested in knowing these objects. This stimulus needs to continue to be worked on and developed, so allow students to ask questions, bring their favorite songs and artists to show in the classroom. Thus, the child can gradually form his identity, perceiving himself different from others and at the same time seeking to integrate with others through similarities.
